Ahoy there sailor...

Nautical is back again this spring with a vengeance! I don't like to follow trends, but i do love stripes! I'd style it in quite a grown up masculine way, like your wearing your boyfriends clothes rather than super tight and tailored - little touches like rolled up trousers, and big vests pulled in at the waist. I think tailored nautical has been done to death (it's time to step AWAY from the blazers people!) and a way to give it a new spin is with plays on volume and size. In fact i've taken to buying all my tops at least a couple of sizes too big recently. Keep the accessories minimal but chunky and bold, and i'm a fan of military references. Gah! I think it'd just be easier to show you how i'd style this. I'm going to take some pictures...
